A video documentary project (in 2D and stereoscopic 3D) on thirteen selected artists and two display holographers working on the west-coast of the U.S. and Canada during the 80's and 90's. This production was funded in large part by the Shearwater Foundation and features interviews and tours of artist studios, labs and art installations, exhibitions. It reveals the history, techniques and aesthetic interests of a wide-ranging body of unique and world-famous holographic artists, some of whom have sadly passed away. The contents of these tapes and DVDs are invaluable for educators, collectors, students and art historians. Availability and terms of sale are by request only to alrazutis@ymail.com. 3D DVD NOTE: These subjects, originally mastered on field-sequential NTSC analog stereoscopic-3D, using a variety of recording formats (U-matic 3/4", hi-8, s-vhs, Toshiba c-vhs), formats that preceeded 3D HD, are currently underging re-mastering for compatability with current 3D HD playback standards. The 3D DVD's will be re-released when re-mastering is completed. |
